CATALOG COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is the study of the different nutrients and their functions. Evaluating foodstuffs and exploring the role of dietary management and the use of prescription diets in small animals are covered.

Attendance in an online class is defined by correspondence and the student is expected to demonstrate, at least once a week, that he/she is actively involved and is corresponding in the class. Examples of activities that can be used to demonstrate this involvement include, but not limited to the following: posting/receiving e-mails, participating in online course discussions via bulletin boards and chat rooms, and completing and submitting course assignments.
