Most courses
can be completed on your home computer. (Some classes require
trips to campus for certain tests, presentations, and lab assignments.) While
online classes have definite beginning and ending times, and exams
are scheduled and timed, students determine their study schedules.
Even though completion of course requirements are done at times
of the student's choosing, the online courses follow a weekly
schedule and due dates must be met.
Faculty communicate
with online students via online bulletin boards and/or chat rooms.
Timely and regular communications with online students is a priority
with online faculty. E-mail is used for both communication and
homework assignments.
