Applicants complying
with the basic admission requirements who seek initial attendance
at the college and desire to enroll in a curriculum program to pursue
an associate degree, diploma, or certificate are classified as regular
students. All students may select their courses from any schedule:
day, evening, mini-mester, Weekend College, College on TV Videocourses,
or College Online courses.
Other categories:

Audit:
Applicants who wish to enroll without earning a grade or credits.
There is no reduction in fees or costs, and applicants must meet
any prerequisites for the course.

Career
Development: Applicants who wish to enroll in a few classes
to update their occupational skills, but who do not wish to
pursue an associate degree, diploma, or certificate. There is
no reduction in fees or costs, and applicants must meet any prerequisites
for the course.

ACE
(Advanced Entrance for High School Students): High school juniors
and seniors who want to get a head start on their college careers
may enroll in the ACE program. ACE students may take one college
course per term. Applicants must meet academic requirements
of any course taken.

Transient:
A student already enrolled or accepted at a college other than
Greenville Technical College who wishes to transfer credits
back to his or her primary college. A permission form specifying
the courses to be taken, signed by the dean or advisor from
the student's primary college, must be submitted with the Greenville
Technical College application and application fee.

International
Students: Any applicant who is requesting a student visa
(F-1).

Senior Citizen: Any legal resident of South Carolina
who is at least 60 years of age may enroll, on a space-available
basis, without paying tuition, provided that he or she is not
employed full-time. The application for admission must be submitted,
the application fee paid, and other regular criteria must be
met for acceptance.
